Polyethylene terephthalate glycol, shortly known as PETG or PET-G, is a thermoplastic polyester that can provide great chemical resistance, durability, and excellent formability when manufacturing. PETG can be easily vacuumed and pressure-formed as well as heat-bent for its low producing temperatures., which makes it popular for manufacturers that involve 3D printing, or other heat-forming producing techniques. Further more, PETG is well-suited for fabrication techniques like mould cutting, routing, and bending. PETG is strong and cost-effective if compared to acrylic or polycarbonate. And PETG is a food-safe plastic that can be used for food containers or bottles for liquid beverages. And same as acrylic or many other thermoplastics, PETG is fully recyclable. PETG is both thermoformable and vacuum-formable, and can tolerate a certain level of pressure without cracking. PETG is naturally clear, but it can be made with color easily during processing. And PETG can be molded into different shapes. PETG's damage resistance is much higher than that of acrylic.
